❗️Сauses of combustion and wear of automatic transmission clutches
#Clutches perform the function of clutch between gears on the principle of a manual gearbox. Clutch and shift occurs automatically at a certain engine torque. If there are signs, then there must be reasons for the combustion and wear of the automatic transmission clutches.

How to determine that the clutches of your automatic transmission are worn out?

❗️Check the condition and level of the oil with a dipstick (if there is no dipstick, then through the automatic transmission control plug). - the oil should be light and not smell like burnt oil (a sharp unpleasant smell of dextron)
❗️ATF oil level must not be below the minimum.
If you have any doubts, it is better to have an automatic transmission specialist do it.

❗️Gears shift incorrectly or stop shifting, or reverse gear is missing, or the car moves in only one gear in the so-called emergency mode.
❗️When shifting to position N, the vehicle moves. (this means the clutches are already welded to the steel disc)
❗️When shifting gears, there are noticeable bumps.
The car runs on cold oil. The hot oil starts slipping back and forth and the car does not move, but slips in place. (Clutches are worn and hot oil viscosity is lower and sufficient piston pressure is not being generated)
❗️ While engine is running, metallic noise during idle is heard.

Removing of the transmission starts from 😇

Now there will be a short list of mechanic’s check list 🧐

❗But I would not suggest you to put the transmission out yourself if you don’t have special tools, knowledge, experience or elementary don’t want to risk.

👍 Better contact us and get guaranteed result, warranty, quality and good price.

But if you want to try then here is the short and common list of what to do. Of course every car has its own peculiarities so this list will just give you an understanding how it works. In real life the work is much more complicated and needs professionalism, accuracy and experience.

To remove the transmission:

✔ lift the auto or put it to the car service pit 🤓
(it’s so obvious, but nevertheless 😅)

✔ then remove the battery

✔ remove the air filter, its mounting parts and the battery shelf

✔ remove engine mudguards

✔ drain oil out from the gearbox

✔ disconnect the front wheel drives from the gearbox

✔ switch off the electrics (disconnect the wires from the speed sensor, reverse light, etc.)

✔ set aside the engine harness

✔ turn off the hydraulic drive according to the manufacturer’s recommendations

✔ remove the additional exhaust gas converter (later we will need a place for engine support)

✔ remove the starter

✔ disconnect the rear support of the power plant from the gearbox bracket

Then you need to disconnect engine from transmission but I will not write in details about it in order not to make the post too long 😇

Assembling the #transmission back to the #car is the last part of #mechanical repair🤓

Every step of #vehiclerepair has its own rules.

During this stage you need to be focused to assemble all the parts proper way and, of course, not to get few extra bolts in the end😅

If the transmission is new for you we recommend to take pictures of every step during dismantling. Also it would be helpful to use manuals🤓
